This lot will be auctioned on Wednesday, November 10th. The auction will begin at 3:00pm BST and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace. Note other lots in the auction may close on November 9th or November 11th. A screen-matched portrait of Jerry Dandridge's (Chris Sarandon) lost love from Tom Holland's horror thriller Fright Night. Vampire Dandridge kept a portrait of a young woman in his house who bore a striking resemblance to Amy Peterson (Amanda Bearse), the girlfriend of his neighbor, Charlie Brewster (William Ragsdale). This colour painting in the likeness of Bearse is rendered on canvas and affixed with tape to the back of a detailed wooden frame featuring production-made blood stains. The weathering on the face and a mark on the right of the frame both screen match to when the portrait is visible in Dandridge's upstairs parlour. This painting exhibits some signs of wear and age including a section at the bottom of the frame which has been detached and reaffixed. Dimensions: 115.75 cm x 87.75 cm x 6.5 cm (45½" x 34½" x 2½") Sold without copyright; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.
