Initially produced with a rigid frame and girder forks, it wasn’t long before telescopic forks and the optional plunger frame was offered and in 1954 the swinging arm frame was introduced. BSA was doing what it did best, producing good, solid, reliable all-round performers that would cruise all day at 60 to 70mph and return 70mpg and at the weekend the sidecar could be attached for the family outing. This fully restored bike appears to be one of the earliest M33s produced and according to the BSA Owner’s Club dating certificate it was dispatched from the factory in November 1947 although the M33 engine has been changed for one that left the factory on the 2nd August 1950 and was dispatched to Ben Drinkwater Ltd. Ben Drinkwater was a motorcycle garage owner and IOM TT and Manx GP racer.Comes with – no documentation.
