MACEDON. Neapolis. Circa 424-350 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 14 mm, 1.92 g, 9 h). Gorgoneion facing with protruding tongue. Rev. ΝΕΟΠ Head of the nymph Neapolis to right, her hair bound with a tainia and with a bun at the back. HGC 3, 588. SNG ANS 458. SNG Copenhagen 229. Well-struck and with grey surfaces. Nearly extremely fine.
