A large late 19th Century Continental Meissen style Schneeballen and cover of ogee baluster form encrusted with blossom and twin branch form handles, the domed cover encrusted with flowers, the sides with large pompom flowers with stalks and leaves with three birds, a canary, humming bird and a finch, perched amongst them on either side, on a pedestal foot, gilt line borders, underglaze blue crossed swords and dot mark height 56cm. Condition: Old losses and chips. Two losses to stalks, Firing crack to one branch. Chip to wing of one canary that has been coloured. Small chips to encrusted flowers on lid and body and pompoms.
