A French Table Clock with Automaton

Clock case partly gilt in fire representing a gothic cathedral. Its lower part features a fountain-shaped automaton, a glass rod standing for the running of water. Gilt and finely decorated dial in Neo-Gothic style has Roman numerals and its steel hands are blued. French eight-day clockwork strikes half hours on bell; has anchor escapement; and its pendulum is suspended on string. France around 1830, height 50 cm. The left side column is loose. Condition 2-
Teilweise Feuervergoldetes Uhrengehäuse - darstellung einer gotischen Kathedrale. Gahäuse enthält Unten einen Brunnen, wo das fließende Wasser symbolisierenden Glasstäben. Sehr schönes dekoriertes und vergoldetes Ziffernblatt im gotischen Stil, römische Ziffern, gebläute Stahlzeiger. Französischer Werk mit 8-Tagen-Laufdauer, Halbstundenschlag auf Glocke, Fadenaufhängung des Pendels. Frankreich um 1830, H. 50 cm. Die linke Säule ist gelockert. Zustand 2-
