A Chinese carved 'Wang Xizhi' bamboo brush pot, bitongEarly Qing dynasty, 17th/18th centuryFinely and deeply carved with Wang Xizhi overlooking from the fenced terrace of his mountain retreat nestled within a bamboo grove on the rocky shores of a lake populated with geese, all above three small bracket feet, 10.3cm high.Provenance: Acquired by captain André Le Gac (1895-1960) in China in the 1920s, thence by descent.清早期 竹雕‘羲之愛鵝紋’筆筒來源:André Le Gac (1895-1960)上校於1920年代購於中國,後傳承至現藏家。Condition Report: 品相報告A few tiny nibbles to mouth and two small dark spots; a few tiny spots of surface residue to one foot. A couple of expected fine age cracks around the foot.
