Moorcroft Claremont Toadstool Basket w/ Sterling

William Moorcroft (English, 1872-1945). Ceramic pottery basket with a sterling silver handle and sterling overlay, early 20th century. In the "Claremont" pattern depicting painted toadstools or mushrooms. Painted signature along the underside, pattern number "Ro.No.420081" and further painted "Shreve Company, San Francisco" Height: 5 1/2 in x diameter: 4 1/2 in. /> Condition:  There are no major cracks, breaks, losses or restorations. There is some crazing throughout the interior and exterior. There is slight wear to the footrim as to be expected with age and use. There is minor tarnishing within the recessed areas of the silver handle and along the silver decoration.
