The barrels ring when tapped. When sighting down the left barrel the slightest wobble can be seen in the beam of light indicating a dent that has been lifted out, outside of this there are no dents visible. The barrels are in proof and measure at: .670 right and .669 left against a proof stamp of 17.0 (.669)The walls measure .23 right and .30 left. The bores are clean and free from pitting. The barrels are on face and tight on the action with no wobble with the forend removed. The actions function correctly with snap caps. There is a very short and split to the toe of the butt, the bottom of the buttplate has been chipped here too. Outside of this the stock is free from splits or repairs, there are occasional scratches and dents from use, the worst being in the middle of the chequering on the wrist left and side.
