1926-S $1 MS66+ NGC. Many Peace dollar issues are challenging to locate in high grade, and such coins are often highly attractive when located. The 1926-S is such a date, where Premium Gems are scarce and finer pieces are rare. Moreover, the present coin -- Plus designated by NGC -- is visually exceptional and clean, with frosty, brilliant mint luster that upholds the reputation of Peace dollars for being eye-appealing in high grades. The strike is sharp, and overall eye appeal is outstanding. None are numerically finer at NGC, and just two coins are reported finer at PCGS. Census: 61 in 66 (7 in 66+, 2 in 66★), 0 finer (10/23).
