A POLYCHROME DECORATED SHELF MOROCCAN, 19TH CENTURY 11cm high, 179cm wide, 9cm deep Together with seven 19th century narghile bottles, mostly Bohemian coloured flash glass produced for the Ottoman market the tallest 31cm Condition Report: THE SHELF:Overall there are some scratches, marks, knocks, cracks, abrasions and minor repairs consistent with age and use.There are some losses, restorations and observations including: some red wash staining where the polychrome paint has flaked to reveal the underlying pine; the finish of the ends suggest that the original shelf was longer or that the shelf was originally part of interior fittings; some cracks to the left end; the polychrome paint has craquelure, and the flaking corresponds to this; the brackets with some later pins and screws; there is some evidence of old worm; the back has an indecipherable pencil inscription, possibly the name 'Muy Mommelly'.THE BOTTLES: Yet to be inspected for condition report.Please see the additional photographs as a visual reference of condition.
