A Colt Lightning Slide Action, Small Frame dating: 1887-1890 provenance: USA, Octagonal, rifled, 24', 22 gauge barrel, with foresight and fixed rear sight, featuring the Colt brand-mark written in two lines, and with address of Hartford and patents from '83 to '87, mark of the caliber '22 CAL.' and mark of the test bench of London at the base. Iron frame with mark 'V' under crown. Serial number '66xxx' on the lower tang. Wallnut wooden butt and fore-end. Hard rubber butt-plate with the Colt horse. Working mechanics. length 105 cm.
