Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) put the pistol The Narrator (Edward Norton) stole from a corrupt police officer into The Narrator's mouth. This rubber gun is cast from a Smith & Wesson 4506 with serial number "T805398" and grooves on the top of the slide to match the hero guns created for the opening sequence by weapons specialist Mike Sudrow. The barrel is finished in silver-color paint to resemble stainless steel and the textured grip is painted black. This pistol exhibits brown staining and cracking paint throughout from production use.
