A Spanish (Teruel, Aragon) earthenware mortar, 15th/16th centurywith three loop handles, painted in copper, green and manganese, 13cm highProvenance: Ex. John Philip Kasselbaum Collection paper label to base. Purchased by the present vendor from Sotheby's on 7th October, 1992 (lot 324). Several fine cracks and loss of glaze around the rim.
