A tea caddy, by Abraham Roentgen (1711-1793) , Ca. 1755-60, Germany, Ca. 16x22,5x14,5 cm, A brass-mounted rosewood tea chest, the concave domed hinged lid surmounted by a drop handle, opening to reveal a fitted interior with a rectangular brass canister flanked by a pair of cylindrical brass canisters, one of the two hexagonal ornaments to the top rim acts as a button opening a secret drawer, on bracket feet.
