Royal Marine Interest: A mid19th Century needlework (embroidery) panel laid on board depicting the frigate HMS Black Prince, signed to base: SAMUEL DUDLEY HIS WORK H*M*S*B PRINCE 1862, the panel 29 x 43cm, framed together with two loose Military Documents: no: 6394 Parchment Certificate for Royal Marine Artillery recording his enlistment on 29th October 1859 and detailing his discharge on 12th November 1880 - also is Military record within the Royal Marines detailing Ships including Black Prince that he served on, dates thereof, and character and ability - the lot also includes a later oil on panel portrait of Samuel Dudley as an elderly Gentleman, 33 x 28cm (4) Note: the needlework panel was executed when (Gunner) Samuel Dudley (b. 29 October 1841.
