A gift for Willy Brandt:, Silver pitcher with the Cologne coat of arms

Slender vessel with a pointed spout on an inswept oval base. Set with an ancient Roman coin depicting Emperor Constantius Chlorus (circa 250 – 306 A.D.) and engraved with the imperial eagle and the municipal coat of arms of the city of Cologne. The base dated 22.9.1973. H 22.3 cm, weight 560 g.

Silber. Auf ovalem, eingezogenem Fuß der schmale Korpus mit spitzer Schnaupe und tordiertem Henkel. In der Wandung eine antike Münze mit dem Porträt des römischen Kaisers Constantius Chlorus (um 250 - 306 n. Chr.). Gegenständig der gravierte Reichsadler mit dem Kölner Stadtwappen. Am Fuß graviertes Datum 22. 9. 1973. Marken: Feingehaltstempel 835 mit Halbmond und Krone, Herstellermarke Wilkens & Söhne (Bremen ab 1886), Modellnr. 7828. H 22,3 cm, Gewicht 560 g.
